I’ve been tinkering around looking at SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages), as you do. I came across a UK based SEO agency that has 71 pages, almost identical content, with the url slug pattern /SEO-County/SEO-Location. Looking at a couple of other agency websites I notice a similar pattern.

Is this kind of location based page something we should all be doing? Where does it end? I could whip up every county-city quick script and max spam. It may well get rankings and exposure, but anyone care to share thoughts and perhaps what the official stance of say Google might be on this kind of tactic?

This is a good question that I think should be directed to @JohnMu on Twitter, He/Him – Search Advocate at Google. For site-specific help, check out the forum at
